The Secondary Stage Coordinator at Trundle Central School has a dual role – administrative and supportive.
The Stage Coordinator is responsible for the marking and keeping of rolls; ensuring report cards are complete and correct, writing a comment upon the report cards and, where relevant, recording student's electives.
The supportive role is of utmost importance. Initially the Stage Coordinator must get to know the students, their needs, their temperaments and individual differences.
The Stage Coordinator is the key link in the Student Welfare Program. They are the buffer between student/student, student/teacher and student/parent issues when they arise.
The Stage Coordinator is a confidant with whom students can discuss problems and seek positive advice. On some occasions the Stage Coordinator may need to initiate discussion about matters involving class or individual welfare. They are also an important channel of communication between the executive and students, being prepared to listen to reasonable and open discussion about relevant matters.
The Stage Coordinator is responsible for the inculcation of correct and positive behaviour of students. While not directly responsible for discipline, they should be contacted by teachers when any problems with their students arise. When disciplinary action is taken at executive level they have input into the matter as they are in the position to understand the temperament and background of their students.
Trundle Central School Stage Coordinator is: Miss Leisa Rowlands
